Russian occupiers have once again launched drone attacks on Kherson, causing serious alarm and leaving behind traces of human tragedies
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, as of today, at least 12 people have been injured in the Dnipro district of the city as a result of mass drone attacks carried out by Russian invaders since the morning. The fight for the lives and health of those wounded is ongoing, reports the regional leader in his official Telegram channel. "Russian forces have changed their tactics in using unmanned aerial vehicles — whereas previously these attacks were selective or irregular, now they are massed and directed literally across the entire Dnipro district. According to our data, just an hour after the attack began, at least eleven people were injured there. All of them are receiving necessary medical assistance, but the situation remains tense," Prokudin stated. According to the regional head, the information has since been clarified: the number of wounded has increased to 12. Of these, three have serious injuries: a 36-year-old man was diagnosed with blast trauma, shrapnel wounds to the head and chest. A 51-year-old woman also sustained shrapnel facial injuries and concussion, while a 60-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman mostly suffered from blast injuries and shrapnel in various parts of their bodies. Both of the latter were hospitalized in serious condition and are receiving all necessary medical care. Authorities in Kherson reported that in response to the new enemy tactics, additional measures are being implemented to counter drone attacks. "We are taking all possible steps to prevent further consequences of the criminal actions of the Russians and to counter their new drone tactics. This requires time and effort, but we are doing everything possible to protect our residents and our city," Prokudin emphasized. He called on Kherson residents to understand and exercise caution, and, if possible, to refrain from going outside unless absolutely necessary. "I urge all residents to be careful and vigilant — active hostilities are ongoing in our city, and the safety of every person remains a priority for the authorities," the regional leader stressed. An analysis of the event indicates a sharp shift by Russian occupiers to a new, intense wartime tactic aimed at maximizing the destruction of residential areas and spreading panic among the civilian population. The attacks carried out by drones are already having tragic human consequences and require urgent measures from Ukrainian authorities to strengthen air defenses and ensure the safety of city residents.
