One of the affected sites was the territory of Kyiv Aviation Institute — as a result of the shelling, the dormitories of the educational institution sustained serious damage. This was reported by the acting rector of Kyiv Aviation Institute, Ksenia Semenova, as well as by the public broadcaster "Suspilne," which published a video showing the aftermath of the attack. According to Semenova, fragments of shells or rockets hit directly into the dormitories, but the greatest danger was that even during the shelling, many students and staff were sheltering in underground refuges. She noted, "Everyone is alive, there are wounded. During the rest of the attack, everyone was in the shelter, which is a large bunker in these dormitories." This testimony demonstrates a high level of safety and the clear response of the administration in a dangerous situation. The head of the institution stated that currently, students and employees who lived in the damaged buildings are being relocated to safe premises. She assured that medical assistance is already being provided to the wounded, and some students have received necessary treatment and are already in comfortable conditions. At the same time, the situation raises concerns about further safety for the educational process and the technical state of the dormitories that were damaged. "Suspilne," in its report, published a video that clearly shows the scale of the destruction: broken windows, damaged walls, and destroyed infrastructure. The footage reveals how extensive the tragedy is for the student campus and underscores the importance of rapid recovery efforts. The damaged dormitories appear devastated, but most importantly, people's lives and health have been preserved thanks to the coordinated actions of the dedicated personnel during the missile strike. The role of Ukrainian defenders and authorities now is to ensure safety and quick response to any new challenges amid the ongoing war. Ukraine continues to stand firm against the aggressor, striving to minimize damage from military actions and to protect its citizens. An inspection of the damage and planning of recovery work at the damaged Kyiv Aviation Institute dormitories are already beginning, and responsible services are working around the clock to restore the opportunity for students and staff to return to normal life as soon as possible.
