Five residents became victims of the night missile strike, including a woman in a critical condition who is currently in intensive care. Alarming reports of damage to residential buildings and cars are coming from various districts of the city, confirming the scale of the strike. According to official data from the Kyiv City Hall and the city military administration leadership, the situation is being commented on by Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко. Klitschko reported that the first reports about the incident came from Solom'yanskyi district, where a residential building was significantly affected by the missile attack: the destruction of the top floor caused window breaches and structural damages. The mayor also noted that medical personnel are already working at the scene, and ambulance and rescue units have been called to assist in Solom'yanskyi district. "Currently, medics are assessing the condition of two victims who received first aid. One of the injured—a woman—is in critical condition and has been hospitalized at the nearest medical facility. Additionally, in Svyatoshynskyi district, several cars caught fire and were burned as a result of this missile attack. This is another proof of how destructive Russian aggression is for our city," Klitschko stated. In turn, Tkachенко described the situation in Solom'yanskyi district, where, according to him, three people have been injured so far, one of whom is in serious condition. "The number of injured has increased to five. Emergency crews and rescue teams are immediately working at the scene. It is preliminarily known that damages affected not only residential buildings but also infrastructure, which complicates the situation," the military administration leader noted. Medical and rescue services are currently working under very difficult conditions, as the spread of destruction and fires hampers their promptness and capabilities. The relevant agencies continue to work at the sites, trying to provide assistance to everyone in need and to eliminate the aftermath of the attack. The reaction of the city authorities and security services is currently focused on controlling the situation and ensuring the safety of residents. The military administration operator has called on Kyiv residents to stay in safe places, avoid open spaces, and follow evacuation and shelter recommendations. This latest missile strike once again reminds us of the urgent need to strengthen the country's defense capabilities and civilian infrastructure’s combat readiness. The city authorities promise to continue providing prompt information to the population about the situation and to take all necessary measures for the rapid recovery of peaceful life in Kyiv. According to eyewitnesses, the missile attack was unexpected for many residents of the city, who woke up from loud explosions. The scale of destruction is being assessed on-site, recovery work has already been intensified, but psychological and material damage remains significant. There is an ongoing need for additional aid to the victims, restoration of damaged infrastructure, and ensuring civilian safety. Sources in law enforcement and military structures confirm that provocative drone decoy attacks are a regular element of enemy tactics, which significantly complicates the city’s air-defense system and requires continuous improvement of countermeasures. Increased security measures are ongoing in the capital and around it, including enhanced patrols and additional checkpoints. Kyiv residents are once again urged to remain alert and exercise maximum caution during this tense period. While hope remains that these trials will pass, reality demands patience and solidarity from everyone for the swift restoration of peace in their hometown.
