Since June 16, a record number of combat engagements have taken place in the eastern and southern regions of the country — a total of 136 combat episodes were recorded in just one day, indicating an escalation in enemy fighting activity and increasing tactical efforts to break through Ukrainian defenses. According to the General Staff, major clashes occurred on the Pokrovsk, North Slobozhansky, and Kursk directions. In particular, on the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled over forty enemy assaults, while the situation on other fronts remained tense, with numerous attacks and shellings. During this period, Russian occupiers launched one missile strike and 45 airstrikes, employing four cruise missiles and dropping 81 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, the enemy actively used kamikaze drones — over 1,115 drones — and conducted nearly four thousand shellings of Ukrainian positions and infrastructure targets. On the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 31 assaults by Russian troops. Enemy aircraft conducted 12 strikes, dropping 27 guided bombs, and carried out over 213 shellings of Ukrainian positions and infrastructure facilities. This again highlights the unstable situation on these front segments, where Russian forces are making efforts to break through defenses and achieve strategic objectives. On the southern flank, particularly near Dovhenskoye and Kamianka, the enemy launched three assault actions against Ukrainian positions. Here, Russian forces attempted to break through the defense in various directions, employing tactics of massive attacks and remote shelling. On the Kupiansk front, the enemy conducted offensive operations in the areas of Stepaivka, Novoselivka, Zhrizove, and moved toward Holubivka and Petropavlivka — indicating that the enemy considers this territory very strategically important and is eager to establish footholds in new positions. Simultaneously, on the Lyman front, Russian troops made two attacks near Kopanki and Nadiya but Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all attempts to advance toward their positions. The enemy also tried to penetrate Ukrainian defenses in the Pisky direction, but Ukrainian forces are holding their ground and actively resisting the occupation forces' progress. The most tense situation remains on the Siversky direction, where Russian forces attempted to advance near Hryhorivka. However, Ukrainian defenders showed courage and resilience, holding their positions and preventing enemy infiltration. Another hotspot is the Kramatorsk direction, where Russian forces attempted ten times to storm Ukrainian positions, concentrating efforts in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Kurdiumivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and Bila Gora. Ukrainian troops successfully prevented enemy advances, maintaining their positions and inflicting heavy losses on the foe. On the Toretsk direction, Russian troops carried out 16 attack attempts within a day in the areas of Toretsk, Diliiivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusynyi Yar, and Yablunivka. Ukrainian units managed to repel all assaults and retain control of key positions. Regarding the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces made 42 attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses over the course of a day in the areas of Popyv Yar, Myrolubivka, Shevchenko Pershe, Promin, Udachne, Novoserhiiivka, Horihoove, Kotliarivka, Novopavlivka, Andriivka, and Oleksiivka. The enemy aims to break through our lines and gain control over these territories, but Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly defending and inflicting losses on the adversary. On the Novopavlivka front, the enemy tried 22 times to breach Ukrainian positions in the areas of Novosilka, Vilne Pole, Bahatyry, and Burlatske, as well as in directions toward Zaporizhzhia and Shevchenko. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all these attacks, maintaining strategic stability on this segment of the front. Other key sectors — the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions — also remain tense. Ukrainian forces managed to repulse two offensive operations by the enemy near Malynivka and one drone raid in the Nesterianka area. Additionally, the settlement of Novoselivka was targeted by an air strike, but the defense holds. In the Pri-Dnipro sector, Ukrainian troops were able to halt enemy assaults near the Antonivskyi Bridge, which significantly complicates logistics and the operational capabilities of Russian forces in this strategically important area. Overall, the situation remains tense. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders demonstrated resilience and courage in safeguarding the national borders, actively countering numerous and well-coordinated enemy attacks. The adversary has unpredictably intensified its efforts, deploying significant resources in an attempt to breach Ukrainian defenses, but Ukrainian forces continue to hold their ground and inflict heavy losses on the invaders, defending Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity.
