In Kyiv, the first serious consequences of the nacht Russian attack have been recorded
According to official information received from the mayor Vitali Klitschko and the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко, two people were injured as a result of the missile strike, one of whom is in critical condition. The tragedy occurred on June 16, when the city woke up to the sounds of explosions and alarm signals, which were confirmed by local authorities and experts. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, a man born in 2004 was injured during the attack and is currently fighting for his life in a Kyiv hospital. Medical professionals classify his condition as severe, but they are doing everything possible to save him. In addition to the young man, a woman was also injured; however, her health is not in danger, and she is currently receiving treatment at home. Timur Tkachенко added that as a result of a nocturnal attack by combat drones on Kyiv, one Russian drone fell among private houses in the Rusanivski Gardens area of Dnipro district. A large crater formed at the site of the crash, indicating the power of the explosion. Additionally, the Russian strike damaged several trading pavilions in the Darnytskyi district of the city, creating additional danger for local residents and businesses. It is noted that debris from neutralized Russian drones has been found at various locations across the capital. Emergency services—rescue workers, police, and municipal workers—are already present at the impact sites, promptly eliminating the consequences of the attack and conducting necessary investigative measures. This is not the first incident recently when Kyiv has been subjected to attacks involving unmanned aerial vehicles. At the same time, the city authorities emphasize the importance of increased security and strengthening air defense to protect the lives and property of residents. The context of these events includes extensive damage to residential buildings and infrastructure in the Cherkasy region due to Russian shelling that occurred the day before. The affected villages were left without electricity, and throughout the region, private property has been damaged. Additionally, on the night of June 16, strikes targeted an industrial facility in the Nikopol community of the Dnipropetrovsk region, causing further losses and destruction. This reaffirms the ongoing trend of intensified Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, aimed at creating chaos and destabilizing regional operations. Ukrainian defenders and authorities urge residents to remain vigilant and follow safety recommendations. They also note that the enemy often attempts to sow fear and panic. At the same time, Ukrainian society demonstrates resilience and unity in resisting aggression, working to strengthen defenses and restore damaged infrastructure. Currently, Kyiv and other regions remain under a high alert level, and authorities call on citizens to stay calm and adhere to safety guidelines.
