The information was confirmed by Vadym Filiashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, through his official Telegram channel, providing details and the extent of destruction the region has suffered as a result of hostilities. According to him, on Tuesday, June 15, Russian forces carried out 21 shellings of settlements in Donetsk region, which became the cause of unspeakable grief for dozens of families. As a result of these attacks, three residents of Bahatyr were killed, two in Pokrovsk, and one in Kostiantynivka. In addition to the direct loss of life, four more residents were wounded of various severity and are currently receiving medical treatment. The regional head also emphasized the widespread destruction caused by the shellings. He stated that during the day, a number of infrastructural facilities were damaged: private and multi-storey buildings, several retail outlets, two enterprises, a gas pipeline, warehouses, greenhouses, and equipment. These are not only material losses but also the loss of lives and the usual way of life for thousands of Donetsk residents, who have long been living in a state of constant alarm and destruction. Additionally, Filiashkin reported that peaceful settlements have also been affected by enemy shelling. Specifically, the Russians carried out so-called “punitive shellings” in areas of intimidation and destruction, which led to the evacuation of 194 residents, including 33 children. This not only indicates human losses but also reflects the efforts of authorities to save civilians in the difficult conditions of war. Photos from Vadym Filiashkin’s Telegram showcase the scale of destruction and losses experienced by the region during this brief but extremely challenging period. This includes the consequences of devastating shellings, damaged buildings, and infrastructural objects. The experience of yet another harsh episode of the war confirms that Donetsk region remains one of the main conflict centers in eastern Ukraine, where every day is a fight for life, peace, and the return to peaceful living. Local residents and military personnel continue to hope for the end of the war and the rapid restoration of destroyed settlements, despite the ongoing hardships and challenges.
