According to information from sources within diplomatic circles, U.S. President Donald Trump plans to hold a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the international forum. Sources further add that, in addition, Trump has planned a meeting with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, highlighting the overall activity of American administration representatives during the summit. It is worth noting that the last time Trump and Zelensky appeared together in person was at the end of April, during the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis in the Vatican. There was a brief but symbolic interaction, which spurred further diplomatic negotiations. Amid these events, attention must also be drawn to a recent phone conversation between Trump and Vladimir Putin, which was seen as an escalation of tensions in the Middle East region. Reports indicate that during this discussion, the leaders addressed the situation around Iran and Israel, further complicating the surrounding political processes. It is also interesting to recall recent comments by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He described the negotiations between the U.S. and Russia as a "very warm conversation," hinting that even diplomatic talks can involve deceptive maneuvering.
