Ukrainian intelligence forces achieved a significant success in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, demonstrating high professionalism and effectiveness in their fight against the Russian aggressor
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Ukrainian special forces conducted precision strikes and destroyed several key air defense systems that were in service with the occupying Russian troops. Specifically, as a result of the operation, modern missile systems "Buk-M3," the 9S19 "Imbir" radar station, which is a component of the S-300V system, as well as the mobile air defense and artillery system "Pantsir-S1," were eliminated. This significant blow to the occupiers' armed forces will reduce their capability for effective air defense in the region, which is an important part of Ukraine’s strategic objectives in deterring Moscow's aggression. Accompanying the released video recording, which supports the message from the Main Intelligence Directorate, is an impressive moment—an Ukrainian drone demonstrating a skillful maneuver, evading a missile launched by the Russians. At the same time, footage is shown of Ukrainian strikes successfully hitting the enemy air defense systems, highlighting the skill of our military and their ability to deliver pinpoint strikes on targets that previously seemed invulnerable. This breakthrough occurred against the backdrop of recent Ukrainian attacks, notably on the night of May 31, when a Russian military train was blown up on a railway segment in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region. This incident also has significant strategic consequences, as the destruction of logistical routes for the occupiers hampers the delivery of military equipment, ammunition, and logistical support, thereby substantially weakening their presence at the front. Intelligence emphasizes that these actions are not isolated episodes, but part of a systematic strategy by Ukrainian forces to combat Russian occupation. They demonstrate the ability to act precisely, swiftly, and effectively, destroying vital targets and reducing the enemy’s chances of controlling the airspace over Ukraine. This success marks an important step in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and confirms the resilience of the Ukrainian resistance against Russian military pressure. At the same time, it serves as a signal to the occupiers that any attempts to consolidate their positions in occupied territories and fortify their holdings will be countered and dismantled through Ukrainian military skill and bravery.
