In the night of June 14, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out targeted strikes against several key defense industry enterprises in Russia, which could have far-reaching strategic consequences for Russia’s military potential. According to information received from the General Staff of Ukraine, the targets were hit with great precision, as confirmed by eyewitnesses and initial data from the scene. Specifically, Ukrainian drones, operating with low security risks and avoiding enemy air defense systems, attacked one of the largest factories in Russia — a component production facility for explosive substances in the Samara region. This enterprise, known as JSC "NNC," is a leading manufacturer in the country of high-tech parts for military and industrial applications, and its existence is directly connected to the functioning of the Russian defense industry complex (VPK). Preliminary reports indicate that as a result of the attack, an explosion and fire occurred, affecting production workshops and warehouse facilities. Local sources report significant fires in the industrial zone, as well as explosions audible over the area, indicating serious damage. It is important to note that rescue and recovery operations are already underway, and final damage assessments are still ongoing. Additionally, the target included a plant in Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Krai — one of Russia’s key producers of basic components for military production. This facility specializes in manufacturing rocket fuel, ammunition, and explosive materials, making it an important element of Russia’s military-industrial system. Reports indicate that, as a result of the attack, there were powerful fires and interference with Russian air defense systems, confirming the high precision of Ukrainian drones. The Ukrainian General Staff emphasizes that this time, the target was particularly strategic: Russian enterprises supplying components essential for the weapons Russia uses to conduct its aggression against Ukraine suffered significant losses. It is worth noting that this is not the first large-scale attack by Ukrainian drones on Russian industrial facilities. Earlier, on the night of June 14, a raid was conducted against one of Russia’s largest chemical plants — "Nevinnomyssk Azot" in the city of Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Krai.
