Mastery of modern means of drone combat is becoming a key factor in preventing large-scale destruction and ensuring the country's security. That is why Syrskyi clearly outlined priorities in this area and ordered the enhancement of Ukraine's aviation capabilities in this direction. According to the head of the military department, the main task for the near future is to increase the number of drone interceptors capable of quickly and accurately detecting and neutralizing enemy drones. "Number one task is to scale up the means that have already proven effective in the fight against enemy drones," Syrskyi said on his Telegram channel, revealing details of the action plan. The Commander-in-Chief stressed that it is necessary to act systematically and comprehensively, utilizing all available resources. This means not only improving existing equipment and means but also continuously implementing new technologies and methodologies in the fight against reconnaissance and sabotage drones. Given the constant changes in the tactics and characteristics of enemy “Shahed” drones, the Ukrainian military must be ready to adapt quickly and find new ways to detect and destroy dangerous unmanned aerial vehicles. Syrskyi mentioned that discussions focused specifically on ways to improve enemy drone detection tools and to create the most effective real-time destruction system. This is especially important to prevent personnel losses, infrastructure disruptions, and damage to civilian critical facilities. The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that today, the successful fulfillment of these tasks depends not only on the safety of civilians and military personnel but also on the stability of the country's overall vital functions. Therefore, ensuring effective countermeasures against enemy drones is one of the priorities of the defense plan, as reducing their numbers and improving detection capabilities will prevent large-scale strikes on civilian and military infrastructure, improve the situation at the front, and establish the necessary balance of forces for continued resistance to the aggressor. Thus, at the highest military leadership level, ambitious goals are set to strengthen the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the air defense sector, particularly regarding the continuous increase in the quantity and quality of enemy drone interceptors. This aligns with the strategic objective of ensuring the country's independence and security under the challenging conditions of modern warfare.
