The National Police of Ukraine has launched a large-scale special operation aimed at combating illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition in the country
According to the latest data, over 500 searches are being conducted simultaneously in various regions of the country as part of this extensive anti-illegal campaign. This initiative is part of a systematic strategy to enhance public safety and prevent crimes related to the illegal weapons trade. According to information received from the National Police press service, the operation aims not only to identify and eliminate channels involved in the trafficking and storage of weapons but also to prevent potential crimes committed with their use. Law enforcement efforts are coordinated jointly with the Office of the Prosecutor General and other law enforcement agencies, allowing for the most prompt and effective response to illegal arms trading activities. At this time, details regarding the locations of investigative actions and the specifics of the operation are to be kept confidential to prevent reducing its effectiveness and to avoid giving criminals opportunities to evade responsibility.
