Following missile strikes carried out by Israel against targets in Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a sharp statement reaffirming the unequivocal unacceptable nature of nuclear weapons presence in the Iranian region. In his interview with diplomatic and journalistic circles, the former Donald Trump confirmed that he received preliminary information about Israel’s intentions to carry out this operation and assured that the United States is prepared for any scenario to protect its interests and allies in the region. Trump’s remarks came in the context of night-time hostilities, which represent one of the most intense in recent years. On June 13, Israeli forces launched missile strikes against facilities directly related to Tehran’s nuclear program, in response to threats Iran has repeatedly issued regarding the possible acquisition of nuclear weapons. As a result of these strikes, according to official reports, strategically significant targets were destroyed, including those connected to Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Among the casualties was high-ranking IRGC commander Hossain Salami, which caused shockwaves within Iranian military circles and provoked loud statements from the Iranian regime. Against this backdrop, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s spiritual and political leader, officially confirmed the death of several senior officials, including military commanders. He promised that Iran would not be in debt and vowed to retaliate for the strikes. At the same time, Trump emphasized that the United States maintains its position and is ready to defend its allies, including Israel, should Iran attempt to respond with new aggression. It is important to highlight that, according to diplomatic sources, U.S. authorities were warned about the planned Israeli operation; however, the attack was carried out unilaterally and without official coordination with Washington. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted in a statement to press agencies that, although the U.S. was aware of the possibility of an Israeli operation, it did not influence the decision and did not participate directly. The geopolitical situation in the region remains highly tense, as both Israel and Iran display a high level of military readiness and seek to prevent a full-scale conflict from unfolding. Meanwhile, the international community calls for diplomatic solutions to Iran’s nuclear program and urges restraint from further escalation of violence. These events once again demonstrate how unstable the situation in the Middle East remains and underscore the high cost of military actions. At the same time, it is crucial to understand that any protest or aggressive move could quickly escalate into a large-scale conflict with far-reaching consequences not only for the region but also for global security. The political scene remains tense, and world leaders are calling for dialogue and diplomacy to avoid another bloody crisis.
