On the evening of June 12, a border village in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district was struck by another attack from Russian military forces, who used an FPV-type drone. As a result of this attack, a local civilian man, 46 years old, living in the village, was killed. According to Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, the Russians decided to launch an attack specifically that night, sending an enemy drone that deliberately targeted the village outskirts. This attack was devastating and alarming for the local population, as civilians are often at the greatest risk in such situations. It is known that during the strike, the victim was a current resident of the village, and his life was tragically cut short due to the injuries he sustained. His family is now expressing deep condolences and support. This is not the first tragedy in the region in recent days. Just a few hours earlier, on June 12, another dangerous incident occurred in Chernihiv oblast. Two 12-year-old teenagers, who climbed onto the roof of a freight train in search of adventure, received an electric shock. As a result, the children were taken to medical facilities with serious injuries. These events once again highlight the high level of danger for local residents, especially amid ongoing aggression. Overall, these tragic incidents underscore the high level of tension and instability in the region, as well as the immediate danger faced daily by civilians. Authorities continue to assure that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of the population, but so far, there are no guarantees against new attacks, and residents of Chernihiv region are forced to repeatedly face the harsh reality of war and its consequences.
