This was announced by the city's mayor, Ihor Terekhov, who emphasized that under the rubble, the last missing worker has been found—making him the sixth victim of this tragedy. In fact, the details of the incident caused significant resonance in the city and beyond. As a reminder, on that day, footage of extensive destruction and alarming reports of casualties spread across social media and news outlets. Around 17:35 Kyiv time, the Russian Armed Forces used four guided aerial bombs against targets in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv. As a result of this large-scale attack, a 30-year-old woman who worked for Ukrzaliznytsia was killed. Her death became the most terrible manifestation of the destruction caused by Russian military forces. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, more than forty people were injured in the attack. Most of them suffered severe wounds, and many victims require immediate medical assistance. Medical personnel on the scene described the complexity of the rescue operation and the danger posed by collapsed structures during the ongoing recovery efforts. Later that evening, the Kharkiv Regional Main Department reported another tragedy: a 62-year-old man who was severely wounded during the missile strike died in the hospital. Currently, two people remain in critical condition, fighting for their lives, while investigators and rescue workers continue to operate at the site, clearing debris and searching for the missing. A particularly painful piece of news came from the scene—among the victims was Volodymyr Kovtun, a children's railway instructor, who received fatal injuries during the shelling. His death was a heavy blow to his family, friends, and the entire community. The search operations lasted several days, and at the end of the rescue mission, the last body of another victim was recovered and pulled from the rubble. Kharkiv city authorities urge residents to remain calm and follow safety recommendations during wartime, emphasizing the importance of staying objectively informed about the situation. The tragedy once again underscores the scale of destruction and human suffering caused by Russian aggression and highlights the need for united efforts to protect and rebuild the city and its inhabitants.
