Over the past day, the intensity of shelling reached record levels: nearly 500 strikes inflicted on the region’s territory, causing serious destruction and several injuries. This indicates an escalation of tension in the area, where Ukrainian defenders are fiercely resisting the enemy every day. According to the Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov, at least 16 settlements were affected amidst the dense fog of enemy missiles and bombs yesterday. The greatest number of attacks was recorded in Malokaterynivka, where, as a result of a missile strike, two local residents were wounded and hospitalized. The shelling was accompanied by large-scale airstrikes, during which the enemy carried out nine air attacks simultaneously in different districts, including Veseliane, Prymorskyi, Huliaipole, Obrativne, Novoaandrivka, Olhivske, and Bilohirya. Diver’s combat drone operations were particularly active. According to the military administration, over 295 drones, including FPV modifications, were recorded in a day, targeting several settlements: Malokaterynivka, Novoyakovlivka, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. The enemy drones manifested as deliberate attacks aimed at infrastructure and residential areas. Additionally, the occupiers used missile launch systems (MLRS); according to their data, seven shellings took place along several key directions: Yurky, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodanilivka. Over 70 missiles were directed at peaceful settlements with the aim of intimidation and destruction. A deep barrage of strikes covered the entire region — 187 artillery hits resulted in infrastructure damage. At the sites of shelling, private homes, apartments, and vehicles were damaged, confirming the scale of destruction and the severity of the situation. According to the regional military administration, as of the evening, residents of the region had filed at least 17 reports of damaged residential buildings, private cars, and utility objects. Ukrainian military and rescue services are tirelessly working to eliminate the consequences of the attacks, providing assistance to the injured, and restoring damaged infrastructure within their capabilities. This series of shelling once again confirms that the resistance of Ukrainian defenders remains strong and unbreakable, despite the scale of enemy aggression. The Zaporizhzhia region continues to be at the forefront of the fight for peace and safety of Ukrainian citizens, and the Ukrainian army and local authorities once again demonstrate their resilience in the most difficult conditions.
