Vladimir Putin has once again emphasized the strength of the Russian nuclear triad, stating that it is the most advanced and powerful in the world

These statements were made during a meeting with high-ranking officials dedicated to issues of defense policy and Russia’s armament program, planned for the period until 2027–2036. According to TASS agency, citing the president's words, the share of modern weapon systems in the country's strategic nuclear forces has now reached 95%. This means that practically all components of the nuclear triad — aircraft, land-based missiles, and naval-launch systems — are equipped with the latest technologies capable of meeting modern security and deterrence requirements. According to Putin, this indicator is the highest among all nuclear states worldwide, allowing Russia to confidently claim nuclear superiority. "Currently, the share of modern weapon systems and equipment in strategic nuclear forces stands at 95%. It is a good indicator and, essentially, the highest in the world," he emphasized, highlighting the unity and high readiness level of Russia’s nuclear potential. As part of the implementation of the new state armament program, designed for the next ten years, the Kremlin leader instructed to pay particular attention to maintaining and developing the nuclear triad as a key element of the country’s sovereignty guarantees. According to official plans, Russia is to ensure not only technological dominance but also continuous renewal of its nuclear infrastructure to preserve strategic stability and the ability to deter any potential external threats. This indicates that Russia is relying on its nuclear arsenal as a primary tool for its global presence and for preventing missile or military aggression from any developed states, especially the West. In the context of strengthening Russia’s nuclear potential, experts note that Putin’s statement can also be viewed as a signal acknowledging current geopolitical challenges, including increased sanctions, technological isolation, and global tensions. In any case, Putin reaffirmed the prioritization of strategic nuclear forces within Russia’s security system and the intention to maintain them at the highest levels of technological and combat readiness, further exacerbating the global security situation.
