Russian forces have again launched an attack on Kharkiv, utilizing “Molnia” drones, which caused significant reaction and concern in the city and its surroundings
The incident occurred early in the morning on June 11, when a cloud of smoke and alarms unexpectedly settled over the city. According to the Kharkiv Mayor, Ihor Terekhov, there was a recorded hit by a "Molnia" drone in the Shevchenkivskyi district, although damages and the aftermath of the strike are still being clarified by local services. The mayor noted that preliminary data indicate damage to civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, and other objects of critical importance for the city. Just before the morning attack, Kharkiv was again experiencing a large-scale confrontation. On the night of June 10 to 11, Russian troops carried out a massive attack using 17 "Shahed" drones. This attack was among the most intense for the city during the war and resulted in significant destruction and human casualties. According to city authorities, during this incident, two civilians were killed, and 60 others were injured of varying severity. Among the wounded, nine are children, who are likely the most vulnerable group among the victims. The enemy strike damaged numerous residential buildings, destroyed several trolleybuses, and also damaged playgrounds and several enterprises, raising concerns about future plans to restore the city's infrastructure. Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city in terms of population and industrial potential, has been in a state of tense anticipation of further attacks for some time. Rocket strikes and drone attacks have become routine for Kharkiv residents, forcing them to live in a constant state of alarm and in shelters. Local authorities urge residents to stay vigilant and follow safety rules in case of air raid sirens.
