On the night of June 11, residents of Kharkiv once again witnessed a ruthless attack by Russian military forces. According to local authorities, enemy drones again launched strikes on the residential sector, causing destruction and panic among the population. This night became one of the most challenging in recent times — the city was once again subjected to a barrage of drone attacks, resulting in extensive damage to buildings and increasing tension in various districts of the city. According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the situation remains tense, with drone attacks occurring in several districts. “Strikes have been recorded, preliminarily, in the Osnovyanskyi district. A fire broke out at one of the strike sites — fire services responded promptly to the incident and extinguished the blaze. Additionally, damage to residential buildings, including multi-family and private homes, has been reported in different parts of the city, creating additional danger for peaceful residents,” the city mayor noted. The occupiers used drones to deliver the most destructive blow to Kharkiv, targeting residential areas. Such actions not only spread fear and panic among the population but also leave hundreds of families homeless. Local residents, waking up in the morning, were struck by the extent of the destruction and fragments of downed drones scattered in yards and on roads — evidence that enemy drones worked relentlessly throughout the night. City leaders urge residents to be cautious, avoid approaching damaged buildings, and follow safety rules. At the same time, local authorities have already appealed to national defense services, calling for increased measures against the drone invaders and faster neutralization of enemy equipment to prevent further destruction and ensure the safety of the population. This attack serves as another reminder of the difficult situation in the region and the need for united efforts to counter the enemy. Kharkiv remains one of the key centers of resistance, but each new attack puts the lives and property of thousands of civilians at risk, forcing local authorities and security forces to seek new effective ways of protection and countermeasures.
