In Kyiv, a large-scale operation to eliminate the consequences of the Russian night shelling that occurred on the night of June 10 has been completed
This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of the city. According to recent data, specialists responded promptly to the capital’s request and successfully completed cleanup and restoration work on the damaged objects in the districts most affected by the attack. Special attention and efforts were focused on the Obolon district, where warehouse premises were damaged as a result of the massive attack. By the morning of June 10, firefighters and rescuers had completely extinguished all open flames and eliminated the aftermath of the shelling, which threatened the safety of residents and infrastructure. This serves as an open example of systematic and coordinated work by civil protection services. According to officials from the Kyiv State Emergency Service, over 440 rescue service professionals and more than 100 units of equipment were involved in the aftermath response across all districts of the city. This included fire trucks, lifting and emergency rescue vehicles, as well as specialized equipment such as a fire boat and robots designed for rapid response to emergencies. Additionally, two helicopters from the Main Intelligence Directorate and Civil Defense were involved; they assisted in the quick localization and extinguishing of fires, as well as in increasing the operational efficiency of on-site responders. The deputy head of the Kyiv Emergency Management states that this is the final stage of large-scale measures to eliminate the consequences of the attack. "At the moment, all instances of fires and damage in the capital have been eliminated. We made every effort to restore the normal situation quickly and effectively, ensuring the safety of residents," he says. The basis for these large-scale actions was provided by data from Ukrainian defense structures and the Air Force, which published information about the night attack by Russian forces. According to the reports, over 300 Shahed drones and various decoys were launched on June 10, along with two ballistic missiles of the KN-23 type and five Iskander-K cruise missiles. This was the most extensive attack in recent months, specifically targeting Kyiv — Ukraine’s capital, which is of strategic importance. Ukrainian air defense managed to neutralize most of the enemy’s means of attack: all launched missiles and 213 drones were destroyed, while 64 more drones were suppressed by radio-electronic warfare systems. Despite this, the attack resulted in hits at 11 locations across the city, and fragments of Russian rockets and drones fell in 16 points, causing damage to buildings and infrastructure. Fortunately, no significant casualties or serious destruction have been reported so far, but recovery work continues with special caution measures in place. Authorities urge residents to stay calm and trust official reports, as Ukraine’s air defense systems continue to demonstrate their ability to protect the capital and its inhabitants from new Russian attacks. Overall, the operation to eliminate the consequences of the Russian strike has become a vivid example of the unity and efficiency of Ukrainian services. At the same time, it has reminded us of the high level of threat that remains actively relevant and the need to continue strengthening the country’s defense capabilities and enhancing security measures to prevent future attacks.
