Within the region, two 12-year-old teenagers found themselves in a dangerous situation when, during play—and perhaps in search of adrenaline—they climbed onto the roof of a freight train. This reckless game ended with shocking consequences for the young explorers: both boys were struck by electric current. The details of the incident are being investigated by specialists, but it is already known that the event took place on or near a railway station when the children climbed onto the top of a freight car. According to the press service of the State Emergency Service, emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene and managed to safely rescue the young adventurers. They removed the boys from the top of the car and handed them over to medical personnel from an ambulance, who provided the necessary assistance. Fortunately, both teenagers were saved, although medical professionals report that they likely sustained serious burns or electric shock injuries, which are still being assessed. Nonetheless, this incident once again emphasizes the importance of children's safety and the need to conduct educational work with teenagers regarding the dangers of careless play in potentially hazardous areas. Railway infrastructure, high voltages, and electrical objects pose real threats to inexperienced children who, driven by curiosity or a desire to test their strength, might expose themselves to significant danger. Public organizations and local authorities stress the necessity of strengthening supervision and awareness-raising efforts among youth. Such incidents are not only tragedies for the families involved but also serve as a reminder to everyone of the importance of children's safety and the need to prevent similar cases in the future.
