Vitalii Klitschko has announced his candidate for the position of new Secretary of the Kyiv City Council, the city mayor reported on his official Telegram channel

According to the mayor, the final choice has fallen on Zoya Yaros, who, on this occasion, received support for further discussion among the relevant factions of the city council. Klitschko assured that he will soon submit her candidacy for approval by the deputies during the next plenary session, providing all factions with the opportunity to voice their opinions before the vote. “We have chosen a candidate for the vacant position of Secretary of the Kyiv City Council and have invited all factions to join the discussion. After consulting with the parliamentary corps, I will present Zoya Yaros' candidacy for consideration at the plenary session,” Vitalii Klitschko stated in his post. She was born on December 9, 1976, in the settlement of Elanets, Mykolaiv region. She received her education at several leading universities in Ukraine. In 2000, she graduated from the Odesa I. I. Mechnikov University with a degree in Law, and in 2006, from the Kyiv International Institute of International Relations at Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko, where she obtained a qualification in International Law. Throughout her career, she has established herself as a highly qualified lawyer and also leads the Ukrainian Bar Association. Her civic activities are aimed at developing the legal system and protecting public interests. Since 2005, she has actively practiced in the field of law and has gained recognition among colleagues and the public. The election of Zoya Yaros as Secretary of the Kyiv City Council is an important step toward modernization and strengthening the parliamentary functions of Ukraine’s capital, as her candidacy combines deep professional knowledge with political independence.
