Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that the aggressor from Russia continues its long-term tactic of intensifying strikes on Ukrainian territory, systematically increasing the number of weapons used to carry out missile and drone attacks

This statement was made immediately after a night of massive shelling of Kyiv, which caused significant destruction and human losses, illustrating Russia’s growing aggression and escalation in the context of the war on Ukrainian land. In an official address published on June 10, the Ukrainian president expressed deep gratitude to all Ukrainian politicians, public activists, journalists, and everyone spreading information about the unprecedented Russian attacks. Open and rapid dissemination of truthful data is a crucial component in countering disinformation and mobilizing society to defend against the enemy. Zelensky emphasized that this current trend has been observed for several months: Moscow is constantly increasing its destructive arsenal, intensifying the frequency of missile and drone attacks. According to him, this systematic escalation signals that the Kremlin is not afraid of international responsibility and does not consider the reactions of the global community. This, in the Ukrainian president’s view, carries a very symbolic meaning: in Moscow, they feel invulnerable and lack real sanctions or serious consequences from world leaders. Volodymyr Zelensky sorrowfully underscored, “Putin wants to continue killings and is using the fact that he does not face a strong enough response. Washington and the global community are silent or acting insufficiently decisively — and this only increases their impunity.” The president also mentioned the current state of Ukraine’s defense. He noted that Ukrainian military and the Ministry of Defense are reporting targeted countermeasures against Russian drones and missiles, actively working to strengthen air defense systems, which increases Ukraine’s chances to defend itself from new attacks. Additionally, Zelensky announced that Russia has again used missiles that Kyiv recorded in its arsenal for the first time — originating from North Korea. These are ballistic missiles, which were previously rare for the Russian army, but their use now confirms a new level of cooperation between Moscow, Beijing, and Tehran in military technologies. Particularly alarming is the information about the spread of Russian-Iranian drone technology to North Korea, which could mean new escalation scenarios in the conflict. Meanwhile, Ukrainian experts and military personnel are observing that the Kremlin is refusing any open restrictions on the use of the latest types of weapons, posing threats not only to Ukraine’s security but also to regional stability. Thus, official Kyiv affirms its unwavering commitment to defending its integrity and calls on the global community to take more decisive actions to deter Russian aggression. Volodymyr Zelensky once again emphasizes: Ukraine is not alone in this fight, but the world must at least not remain silent — it should react and impose sanctions to stop the escalation and hold Russia accountable for its actions. Only then, according to him, will it be more feasible to halt the relentless bloodshed and restore peace to the country.
