The recordings, obtained from officers’ body cameras, clearly show the moment kamikaze drones strike residential buildings in the capital, as well as the work of police and rescue teams responding to the missile and drone strikes in the affected areas. This is the first official video material illustrating the scale and consequences of the attack, along with law enforcement efforts to minimize casualties and ensure the safety of residents. This publication is the result of the work of Oleksii Bilošićkyi, the First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department, who emphasized the seriousness of the situation in a media comment. According to him, Kyiv experienced one of the largest attacks in recent times, during which the enemy used both kamikaze drones and missile systems simultaneously. The pace of the attacks exceeded all expectations — for over five hours, the city was under fire, receiving strikes in various districts. "Kyiv experienced one of the most massive and complex attacks in recent years tonight. The enemy employed a combined tacktics — drones and missiles. This lasted over five hours of continuous shelling. In such a situation, our personnel and rescue workers showed heroism, remaining alongside residents and risking their own lives. We evacuated people to safe locations, helped extinguish fires, and ensured the passage of ambulances and other emergency services," his statement reads. According to prosecutors, as a result of the night attack, a 72-year-old woman from the Obolonsky district was killed — a resident of a private sector who fell victim directly to the shelling. Additionally, four other people were injured, including one police officer wounded during evacuation and rescue operations. Unfortunately, numerous residential buildings, non-residential premises, and personal vehicles were damaged, becoming targets of attacking drones and missiles. Police urged citizens not to ignore air raid signals and to always seek shelter during threats. They emphasize that timely reactions help prevent even greater losses and reduce risks to the lives and health of Kyiv residents. At the same time, police and civil protection services continue working around the clock, strengthening safety measures and supporting the community during this difficult period. Overall, this night attack once again highlights the complexity and tension of the situation in the capital, which has long been on the front lines in the fight against aggression. The released footage and official statements help understand the scale of the tragedy and the efforts of law enforcement agencies to protect the city and its inhabitants. Authorities call on everyone to stay vigilant and follow safety rules to minimize the consequences of future attacks.
