In the city of Boryspil, located in Kyiv region, the situation has sharply worsened following a night-time missile attack and a large-scale fire that occurred at an industrial facility during the night of June 10 to June 11

As a result of this extraordinary event, the city authorities made a drastic decision — to cancel all planned mass events within the community's territory for an indefinite period. This decision was announced by representatives of the executive committee of the Boryspil City Council through official social media pages. According to their official statement, the reason for such caution was the increasing security tensions in the region. “We inform you that due to the security situation in the region, all mass events in the Boryspil community are suspended indefinitely from today,” the statement reads. The authorities urged organizers of already scheduled events to show responsibility and understanding of the situation, emphasizing that the decision was made in the interests of the safety of residents and visitors. This measure was a response to the unrest that enveloped Boryspil after the night events. Earlier reports indicated that on the night of June 10, the city was subjected to a massive missile attack by Russia. As a result of this combat operation, a powerful fire broke out at an industrial site located near the city. Preliminary information suggests that the fire covered an area of over 2,500 square meters. Firefighters responded quickly to the scene and extinguished the blaze, preventing even greater destruction. Victoria Ruban, a well-known spokesperson for the State Emergency Service (SES) of Kyiv region, emphasized in an interview with "Ukrainska Pravda" that the fire occurred precisely on an industrial territory at the exit from Boryspil and was not related to the airport itself. She added that while fire trucks bore the inscription “Boryspil Airport,” it turned out that the fire was not on the airport’s storage infrastructure. This incident further sharpened the security situation in the region, causing panic and unrest among residents. Boryspil’s authorities, responding to the new challenge, called on the public to remain calm and follow law enforcement advice to avoid panic and further escalation of threats. The next steps from the authorities in this regard have not yet been announced, but it is evident that the security situation in the city and region will remain under increased control. All scheduled mass events, including cultural, entertainment, and sporting activities, will be postponed until the situation stabilizes and normal life resumes. It is expected that Boryspil’s authorities will continue informing residents about developments and security measures, and the community should stay especially vigilant and responsible during these difficult times. Local officials urge everyone to adhere to all recommendations and exercise caution, as the safety of residents and visitors remains the top priority under current circumstances.
