Deep Intelligence Concern: Russia Supports Putin and His Aggression – Germany’s Top Intelligence Agent Reveals the Truth
Growing worldwide concern about the internal situation in Russia and the genuine level of support for the Russian regime among the population. Germany’s main intelligence agency, the Federal Intelligence Service (BND), has released a shocking conclusion: most Russian citizens support Vladimir Putin and his extensive war against Ukraine. This was announced during a public speech by BND head Bruno Kahl on the popular podcast Table Today, and the information is corroborated by the reputable publication "European Pravda," citing the German outlet Handelsblatt. According to Kahl, for a long time, Western circles have operated under the assumption that Russia’s war against Ukraine is primarily a whim of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and that the Russian people themselves have become victims of propaganda, believing that the majority of citizens do not support such a harsh course. However, new intelligence data suggests otherwise. Kahl is convinced that "virtually the entire Russian people" are prepared to follow their leader, considering the war necessary and believing in its continuation. In his opinion, many Russians perceive the conflict as a fight against "NATO evil," which supposedly aims to attack Russia, fueling hatred and fear. The main reason for such widespread support, he attributes to the well-established Kremlin information machine. It allows Russian leadership to carefully shape public opinion, manipulating populations from western regions to the distant Far East of the country. According to Kahl, within the ruling circles, including political structures, there are disagreements regarding strategic decisions and the appropriateness of individual steps in the war. Nevertheless, despite this diversity of opinions, there is unwavering unity in the Kremlin, and opposition that could stand in the way of Putin is absent or weak. Kahl also emphasized that Russia intends to test NATO’s endurance by expanding its aggression beyond Ukraine and demonstrating formidable military power. The intelligence officer is convinced that this is partly related to Russia’s desire to test the West’s resolve and prepare for possible escalations. Meanwhile, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed that Russia has been actively increasing its military potential and preparing to use force against alliance countries for the past five years. This indicates the seriousness of the Russian regime’s intentions and its desire to push its aggressive policies onto the global stage. It is evident that the situation remains tense, and intelligence data indicate the scale of Russia’s internal balancing act amid the ongoing war against Ukraine for over a year. Testing NATO’s resolve, likely intensifying military efforts, and tense rhetoric suggest the possibility of escalating conflict in the future — and the world is increasingly focused on finding ways to counter this threat.
