The consequences of Russian missile strikes continue in Kharkiv region: three civilians injured
On Sunday, the sounds of explosions and shelling were heard once again in Kharkiv region, indicating an escalation in enemy attacks on the area. According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, three people, including an elderly woman and a young man, were injured as a result of attacks and missile strikes on civilian territories. This confirms an ongoing trend of attacks on residential neighborhoods and infrastructure, causing human suffering and destruction. According to investigators, around 3:00 PM, Russian occupiers used Grad rocket launchers, likely from an area near the border, targeting the city district of Kupiansk. As a result of the shelling, a 75-year-old local resident was wounded; her injuries are currently stable, though she requires medical assistance. The fire damaged several private houses, leaving them without roofs and destroying interior spaces. Meanwhile, the airstrike zone was also affected in the village area of Zolochiv in the Bohodukhiv district. At 4:00 PM, aerial strikes were carried out by the Russian armed forces. Preliminary information indicates that administrative buildings, residential homes, and small businesses—kiosks owned by local entrepreneurs—were damaged. Fortunately, no civilians were harmed in this attack. The blast wave and debris damaged infrastructure, posing additional threats to residents. Another strike was recorded around 4:50 PM in the village of Stary Saltiv, Chuhuiv district. A 19-year-old young man was wounded and quickly hospitalized. It is known that the residential sector was damaged, with the explosion wave destroying parts of courtyards and causing further household destruction. Local residents were left without electricity and water supply, and some buildings were seriously damaged. Around 5:30 PM, aircraft strikes were again heard over Kupiansk – this time targeting the village of Podoly. As a result, a 66-year-old man was wounded and urgently taken to a medical facility. The residential sector suffered significant damage: roofs, windows, and interior walls were destroyed, indicating a high level of destruction and fear among local residents. Overall, today’s shelling confirms the deliberate actions of Russian military forces aimed not only at military infrastructure but also at the peaceful population of Kharkiv region. People live in constant fear, and the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure worsens the humanitarian situation in the area. Local authorities and civil protection services urge residents to stay cautious and, if possible, evacuate the affected zones to avoid greater casualties. Repair work on damaged objects is ongoing, and law enforcement and military personnel are investigating each incident to identify and hold the perpetrators accountable.
