Russian military forces have once again carried out massive shelling of Dnipropetrovsk region, using drones and artillery, leading to serious consequences for civilians and regional infrastructure
According to the latest reports, active attacks took place in several districts of the region throughout Sunday, resulting in two people being injured of varying severity and causing destruction to dozens of buildings and vehicles. According to Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Military Administration, the occupying forces deliberately targeted the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts. Specifically, in Nikopol, the Russians used FPV drones (short-range unmanned aerial vehicles capable of carrying explosives), heavy artillery, and munitions dropped from unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the shelling in Nikopol itself, two local residents were wounded. One of them is in critical condition and requires urgent medical aid. Sources report that during the attack, a private residential building was damaged, and six vehicles, outbuildings, and other property were destroyed. Additionally, one of the structures was completely destroyed by fire. Throughout the district, infrastructure and private properties also suffered damage due to enemy actions. The neighboring communities of Pokrovsk and Mezhiv were also affected by the shelling. Within the Mezhiv community, Russian drones inflicted substantial damage to private homes and production facilities. Updated information indicates that at night, the occupiers struck one of the enterprises, causing significant destruction on the premises and damaging property of local residents. There are also casualties among civilians as a result of these attacks— the situation remains tense, and local authorities once again urge residents to exercise maximum caution and follow safety procedures. The region has been under shelling for several consecutive days, reaffirming the systematic and cynical nature of Russia’s aggression against Dnipropetrovsk. Despite ongoing attacks, residents continue to demonstrate resilience and patience, hopeful for a swift cessation of hostilities and the return of peace to their homes. Regional authorities call for increased preparedness and maintain a 24-hour alert mode, as the threat persists. The periodic shelling further emphasizes the need for strengthened defense and government support for civilians.
