Last night, on June 8th, Russian occupation forces carried out another aggressive attack on the territory of Zaporizhzhia Region, using an FPV-type drone in a private residential area
According to official sources, as a result of this attack, a 63-year-old local resident was injured, receiving wounds and being urgently hospitalized. Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, stated that the attackers deliberately targeted a private house located in one of the region's communities — in Stepogirsk Primorska Territorial Community, which is part of the Primorsky district. Local authorities reported that following the strike, the residential building was almost completely destroyed, leaving only ruins and smoke clouds. It is reported that, as a result of the explosion and fire, the injured man was taken to a local hospital with wounds of varying severity. His condition remains under medical control, and the circumstances and reasons for the attack are currently being established by investigators. This is not the first such attack involving drones in the region, indicating an escalation of armed aggression by Russia aimed at destabilizing the situation and intimidating the local population. Zaporizhzhia region, which is already suffering from missile and artillery strikes, is once again under attack, confirming the prolonged hot phase of the conflict and the danger to civilians. Local authorities emphasize the need to strengthen security measures and possible protective actions, as well as call on citizens to stay vigilant and report any suspicious objects or activities. Previously implemented evacuation measures and the continued mobilization of forces provide the means to better respond to such attacks and minimize their consequences. In Ukraine and around the world, there is deep concern over the increasing number of such attacks, and calls are being made for the international community to increase pressure on Russia to stop the aggression and ensure the safety of peaceful civilians. Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities and defense structures are seeking ways to counter these challenges and protect their citizens from further threats.
