Powerful strikes ring out again in Kharkiv: the number of wounded rises to 22, including an infant and a teenager
Last night, Kharkiv was once again subjected to shelling by Russian forces, resulting in a large-scale attack that brought not only destruction but also human tragedies. According to official information from the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, as a result of this shelling, three people were killed and 22 were wounded of varying severity. Among the injured are a one-and-a-half-month-old infant, a 14-year-old girl, as well as adult residents of the city. This news has caused despair and anxiety within the Kharkiv community, as each new attack destroys human lives and deepens fear. The head of the Kharkiv Department of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, provided the first official information about the consequences of the night attack during a briefing. He reported that among the deceased are a 32-year-old man and two women aged 59 and 86. Their bodies are currently undergoing additional identification, so the exact number of victims may slightly increase after all necessary investigative procedures, including DNA testing, are completed. Klymenko emphasized that the number of wounded currently stands at 22, including a 14-year-old girl and an infant born just a month and a half ago. Additionally, a rescue worker who was working at the scene of the shelling was also injured. This underscores the scale of the tragedy and the high risk involved in civil protection services' work in the affected zones. Medical teams are working intensively to provide necessary aid to all victims. Meanwhile, experts are working to determine the exact number of casualties, as information is still being gathered and clarified. It is known that the brutal shelling occurred on the night of June 7, involving kamikaze drones, guided bombs, and missiles that targeted residential districts of Kharkiv. This is not the first such strike on the city recently, and once again it confirms the horrific reality of war for Kharkiv residents and all inhabitants of eastern Ukraine. Although rescue and law enforcement efforts are focused on eliminating the consequences and investigating the circumstances of the tragedy, people's hearts are filled with fear and uncertainty.
