The Prosecutor’s Office announced the extensive consequences of the night attack on Kyiv: 22 people injured, including three servicemen who lost their lives
The capital of Ukraine was once again targeted — on the night of June 6, Kyiv endured another large-scale combined attack by Russian armed forces. According to official data from the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, the aftermath of this night bombing was destructive, and the number of victims has significantly increased. Unfortunately, among the victims are three hero rescuers from the State Emergency Service, who risked their lives to save others. As reported by the Prosecutor’s Office on its Telegram channel, based on investigative materials, during the night of June 5 to 6, Russian military forces carried out a massive airstrike on the capital. As a result, 22 people were injured, nine of whom are employees of the State Emergency Service, including two rescue workers, a metro employee, specialists from Kyivgaz company, and local residents living in the damaged buildings. What was particularly striking is that among the injured is an 11-year-old girl who suffered poisoning from combustion products, confirming the extensive impact of the strike on civilians. Preliminary reports indicate that the most damage was inflicted in several districts of the city. In Solomianskyi district, apartments on several floors of a 16-storey residential building were damaged, along with broken shop windows and partial damage to a shopping center. In Holosiivskyi district, a building housing a humanitarian aid point was damaged, and a fire broke out there, significantly complicating the situation. Devastating hits also affected a garage cooperative, which suffered from debris, and in open areas of Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts, fragments fell near playgrounds, gas stations, metro tracks, and social facilities. Rescue workers and law enforcement continue their urgent work — they operate around the clock at the damage sites, documenting the crime and eliminating the consequences of this military aggression. Currently, debris removal, rescue operations, evacuation of the injured, and documentation of enemy criminal actions that are already classified as war crimes are underway. Regarding previous events — on the night of June 6, Kyiv was already attacked, during which fragments and hits damaged residential buildings, metro tracks, vehicles, and infrastructure objects. It was reported that four people were killed and over twenty injured, including civilians and critical service workers. This night attack once again highlights the level of danger for the capital and reminds everyone of the vulnerability of peaceful residents to large-scale military actions by the aggressor country. Kyiv’s authorities and all emergency services are responding urgently to minimize the consequences and keep the situation under control. Continuous attacks not only destroy buildings and damage property but also tragically affect human lives. Ukrainians continue to fight for their peaceful life and independence, despite the evident challenges posed by the enemy.
