Russian drones again struck Pryluky: early in the morning on June 5, the city was hit by a drone attack, resulting in the death of at least five civilians, including a one-year-old child
This tragic confrontation became yet another evidence of the large-scale and ruthless attacks carried out by the Russian Federation during another night, leaving destruction behind and leaving a deep wound in the hearts of local residents. Vyacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, confirmed that the attack was carried out using at least six "Geran" drones. According to him, the enemy drones entered Pryluky territory during pre-dawn hours, triggering a series of explosions in residential neighborhoods. As a result, buildings were destroyed, residential houses and medical facilities were damaged. A shocking fact about the tragedy is that among the dead is a one-year-old child, as well as two adult women who were buried under the rubble after powerful explosions. Preliminary data indicate that their bodies were found by emergency service workers directly under the debris of destroyed buildings. In total, six people were injured in the attack and were taken to local hospitals; they are receiving necessary medical assistance. Chaus emphasized in his statements that the force of the strike was significant, and rescue workers, police, medical personnel, and other services are continuously working at the incident site. Efforts to clear the rubble, determine the causes of the destruction, and search for possible survivors are ongoing, and authorities once again urge residents to be cautious and follow safety measures during this period when Russian drones continue targeting objects in Chernihiv region. This attack is yet another blatant reminder that Russian aggression does not slow down and that its ruthless actions have devastating consequences for civilians. The local community is currently in a state of deep shock, and questions of security and protection of residential neighborhoods are becoming increasingly urgent. For now, the war continues to bring only pain, losses, and destruction, reminding us of the need for active support and unity to resist the enemy.
