Night Drone Attack in Pryluky Claims Family of Local Fire Department Chief

From the night of October 26 to 27, Pryluky became the target of another nighttime drone attack by Russian occupiers, repeatedly demonstrating the increasing danger and determined intent of the enemy towards Ukrainian cities and their residents. According to preliminary information received from Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, this malicious strike directly damaged or destroyed one of the buildings in the city. The main tragedy occurred at the family home of the local fire department chief. During the night drone attack, the house was hit, resulting in a tragedy — his wife was killed in the blaze. The terrible family loss also affected some of the most critical targets — the daughter of the former firefighter, who is currently serving as a patrol police officer, and her one-year-old child. According to information published via Ihor Klymenko’s Telegram channel, at the time of the attack, rescue workers and the fire and rescue team were engaged in eliminating the consequences of other enemy strikes in the city. It is noted that they were on the scene and performing their professional duties, trying to stabilize the situation and prevent even greater damage. Official sources have not yet reported the exact number of those injured or affected as a result of this night, but it is widely recognized that drone attacks threaten not only infrastructure but also the lives and health of civilians. Pryluky has repeatedly been targeted by similar invasions, and this incident again affirms the need to strengthen air defense systems and enhance security in the region. The death of the fire department chief’s family has caused deep resonance among the public, as this tragedy further confirms how the front-line conflict destroys the most sacred — institutional values, families, and the peace of ordinary residents. What is most heartbreaking about this story is that once again, individuals performing incredibly important and selfless work to protect people have suffered. While investigations and efforts to identify those responsible for this tragedy are ongoing, residents in Pryluky and other regions of Ukraine are being urged to strengthen security measures and remain vigilant, as the threat from enemy drones remains high. Ukrainian authorities and law enforcement continue to call on citizens to stay alert and maintain morale, striving to stop the aggressor and restore peace in the region and the country as a whole.
