At the end of the first summer week in Ukraine, serious atmospheric changes are expected: heat reaching +33°C in most regions will be combined with short-term rains and thunderstorms, especially noticeable in the northern and western parts of the country
This forecast creates a real weather mosaic that could impact everyday life of Ukrainians and weekend plans. According to "Interfax-Ukraine," citing data from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, on Friday, June 6, a mixed pattern of climatic phenomena will still prevail across the country. It is noted that in northern regions, as well as in western areas, including Vinnytsia region, short-term showers and lightning strikes are possible. At the same time, the majority of the territory will experience mainly dry and hot weather. Winds will blow from the south-west at speeds of 5 to 10 meters per second, adding a certain dynamism to atmospheric processes. Temperature readings will range from 15-20°C at night, with some areas, especially in the east and south, seeing lows of 12-17°C. During the day, temperatures will rise to 26-31°C, while in the Carpathians, where a mountain microclimate persists, the temperature will stay within 20-25°C. Kyiv will also be affected by short-term precipitation — either rain or thunderstorms. Expected nighttime temperatures are between 18-20°C, with daytime temperatures reaching up to +30°C. On the next day, June 7, most of Ukraine will remain dry, although short-term rains and thunderstorms will again appear in the western and northern regions. This day will feature characteristic early summer temperatures — 15-20°C at night and 28-33°C during the day. In the Carpathian region, the air will stay slightly cooler — up to 25°C. Kyiv will again be rain-free at night, but short-term showers or thunderstorms are possible during the day. Temperature fluctuations will be similar to the previous day: a minimum of 18-20°C overnight, and daytime temperatures around 29-31°C. Such an unpredictable weather scenario creates a special atmospheric dynamic. Meteorologists urge Ukrainians to stay attentive to forecasts and consider changes in their plans, emphasizing that the best approach is to prepare for any weather surprises — including bringing rain gear and being cautious of lightning, which can occur suddenly even on the hottest days.
