Russian occupiers shelled one of the settlements in Zaporizhzhia region using heavy weaponry – cluster munitions, so-called KABs, which caused serious consequences for local residents
This incident was reported on June 4th by Ivan Fedorov, the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, emphasizing that as a result of the missile and artillery strike, three people were injured and are currently in hospitals. According to the regional leader, the attack came as a surprise to the residents of the settlement. Official information states that the enemy used cluster munitions – a complex and dangerous type of weapon with a high potential to cause significant destruction to civilian infrastructure and civilian lives. Despite attempts by Ukrainian defense forces to resist the aggressor, the country continues to suffer direct strikes from Russian troops. The head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration highlighted in his comment that emergency aid has already been organized, and rescue services are working at the scene. Doctors are fighting for the lives of the wounded, but the situation remains serious due to the extent of the damage and the high danger to residents who remain in the shelling zone. This event once again demonstrates the escalation of Russian military actions on the southern front, where the Ukrainian army continues to hold back the enemy but is also facing new challenges and threats. Local authorities and rescue services are prepared for maximum mobilization to ensure the safety and protection of citizens during this tense period.
