Explosions Sounded Again in Kharkiv: Night Alert and City in Panic

In the night of June 3-4, explosions once again rocked Kharkiv, disrupting the peace and safety of residents in one of Ukraine's largest metropolises. This news instantly stirred public concern and drew attention to the growing tension faced by Kharkiv amid Russia's armed aggression. According to information provided by Mayor Ihor Terekhov, sources from the Main Defense Department and local media report several loud explosions that occurred during the night. The Kharkiv mayor stated in his address: "Several explosions are heard in Kharkiv. The city is under attack by enemy drones. I ask all residents to stay vigilant and follow safety instructions." This warning prompted the population to rapidly activate safety measures and avoid going outside unless absolutely necessary. Another alert was issued in the city at 2:28 a.m. Kyiv time. The situation was accompanied by rapid dissemination of reports on social media and news outlets confirming that Kharkiv was under shelling at that time, shattering the night silence with sudden blasts. Later, Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, added that "a powerful explosion was heard in Kharkiv," thereby confirming the scale of the incident. He urged residents to remain calm and not ignore alarm signals. According to him, these events are the result of drone attacks employed by the enemy to target infrastructure facilities and residential areas. The shelling of Kharkiv continues to be part of a hybrid warfare campaign that Russia is conducting against Ukraine to sow panic and weaken the morale of Ukrainians. Local authorities emphasize that organized warning systems are functioning reliably and call on residents to adhere to safety rules: seek shelter in bomb shelters, avoid going outside during alarms, and stay attentive to official messages. Currently, the situation remains complicated but under control. However, Kharkiv residents have once again endured a nightmarish experience, not for the first time in recent months. We can only wait for official explanations and take all necessary measures to protect civilians and ensure the stable operation of the city’s infrastructure during these extremely difficult times.
