According to official data from the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the consequences of this attack proved to be destructive and tragic. Latest reports indicate that at least six residents of the city were injured during the nighttime attack, including three children. The condition of three of them remains particularly grave, as they are currently in intensive care units in serious condition. Specifically, it is reported that one child is already being prepared for transportation to a specialized center — Kyiv’s “Ochapdyt” Children’s Hospital — for qualified medical assistance. In total, about thirty residents sought medical help, with sixteen currently hospitalized. Medical professionals are working in an intensified mode, providing aid to the victims and saving lives where possible. Regarding past events, on June 3, Russian forces deliberately targeted the city center using missile systems. Preliminary reports indicate three people killed and over twenty wounded. Among the destroyed objects are residential buildings, social institutions, and infrastructural facilities, further complicating the situation in the city. Recent reports from medical services reveal that one of the injured, a 43-year-old resident of Sumy, died in the hospital from severe wounds. As a result, the death toll from this attack has risen to four. This again underscores the risks and the price paid by the city’s residents in the fight against the aggressor’s hostility. Local authorities urge residents to be cautious, follow safety rules, and evacuate quickly to shelter in case of alarm. Meanwhile, Ukrainian defenders continue to protect the territory and aim to stop the destabilization that causes widespread destruction and human suffering.
