However, there will also be short-term showers with thunderstorms in some regions. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, on Wednesday, June 4, most of the country will experience weather fluctuations, particularly in the northern, northeastern, and Cherkasy regions, where nighttime rains are possible. During the day, in the southeast, short-term rain showers and thunderstorms are expected. In certain areas, hail and strong gusts of wind reaching 15-20 m/s may occur, creating potentially dangerous conditions for residents and agricultural objects. In general, the rest of the country will have dry and hot weather without precipitation. Meteorologists report that the wind will predominantly blow from the northwest at speeds of 5-10 m/s, providing a slight cooling effect. The temperature at night in western and northern regions will hover between 11-16 degrees Celsius, rising to 21-26 degrees during the day. Throughout the rest of the country, nighttime temperatures will stay warmer — from 14 to 19 degrees, with daytime temperatures reaching 24-29 degrees. The south of the country is expected to reach the highest temperature, up to 31 degrees, marking another day of fairly high temperatures. In the capital, Kyiv, a short-term rain with thunderstorms is forecasted overnight Wednesday. During the day, no precipitation is expected, although a light northwest wind of 7-12 m/s is anticipated. The temperature in Kyiv will fluctuate around 15 degrees Celsius at night and rise to 22-24 degrees during the day. According to historical data, this date is one of the hottest — in 1901, a record temperature of +31.9°C was recorded in the city, while the lowest, +4.3°C, was noted in 1933. On June 5, the weather situation will not change significantly: most regions are expected to have dry and clear weather. Only in the western regions, in the first half of the day, short-term light rains and thunderstorms may occur. The wind will mostly blow from the south at 5-10 m/s, with stronger gusts up to 15-20 m/s possible in the Carpathians during the daytime, which should be taken into account by outdoor enthusiasts and tourists. The temperature is expected to rise: nighttime temperatures will remain warm, around 11-16 degrees, while daytime temperatures will increase to 24-29 degrees; in the south and southwest of the country, reaching up to 31 degrees. In Kyiv, June 5 is expected to be even hotter, with no precipitation, a south-westerly breeze, and daytime temperatures between 26-28 degrees. Overall, the first week of June will bring warm and sunny weather to Ukraine, with short-term rains and thunderstorms in some regions. These weather conditions create ideal conditions for outdoor activities but also require caution due to possible squalls and thunderstorms in the south and east of the country. Although the weather situation appears fairly stable, meteorologists’ advice remains relevant: be prepared for sudden showers and remember sun protection measures during the hottest hours.
