The new President of Poland, Karol Nauroczky, expressed his position regarding the future development of bilateral relations with Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of continued close partnership and active cooperation between the two countries
His statement, published on June 3rd on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), has already been widely discussed within the Ukrainian and European communities, as it opens a new chapter in Polish-Ukrainian relations on the eve of a new administration in Warsaw. Nauroczky's declaration was a response to greetings he received from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who in his message stressed the need to strengthen cooperation and establish dialogue. Both leaders underscored the importance of building mutually beneficial partnership relations based on mutual respect and understanding of historical perspectives and challenges. The new Polish president noted that Ukraine remains an important strategic partner and a reliable ally for Poland during times of modern challenges and threats. "I look forward to continuing dialogue and implementing joint initiatives to strengthen our bilateral ties, as this is primarily a matter of mutual respect and understanding. According to him, Poland is positioned as a leading and most determined defender of Ukrainian interests on the international stage and regionally, as no one understands the level of danger and complexity of the situation Ukraine has found itself in through the war better than we do. "Poland has been and remains a steadfast supporter of Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. Throughout the conflict, we have demonstrated that we adhere to our principles and values sincerely and consistently," emphasized Nauroczky. He added that supporting Ukraine is not a temporary emotional gesture but a strategic stance based on solid cooperation and a desire to assist in Ukraine's recovery and the strengthening of its sovereignty.
