Based on new information released through official sources, Ukrainian defenders reported significant changes in the statistics of Russian aircraft lost, while also providing detailed insights into the operation carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), which has become one of the key components of this year’s campaign to strike enemy aviation. The official statement from the General Staff, published on social media, states: "Attention! Updated statistics on enemy aviation strikes at Russian military airfields resulting from the Special Operation conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine on June 1, 2025." It is noteworthy that Ukrainian military experts, after conducting additional analyses and verifying information from various sources, were able to compile more accurate and substantiated data. According to the new report, the number of Russian military aircraft lost in this conflict has reached 41, including strategic bombers, fighters, and other combat aircraft. This significantly exceeds the previously announced figures. In the morning update, the General Staff reported 12 losses, with a total of 384 aircraft. Now, with additional information taken into account, the total number of enemy aircraft destroyed has increased to nearly 413. Overall, Ukrainian defenders have detailed the extent of damage inflicted on Russian aviation technology, emphasizing that this operation has become one of the successful elements of a large-scale, systematic campaign aimed at destroying the enemy’s strategic and tactical forces. It is important to note that these losses have a substantial impact on the combat potential of the Russian armed forces and demonstrate the high efficiency of Ukrainian intelligence agencies and military units, especially in undermining enemy logistics and missile-aircraft support. This information emerged against the backdrop of active hostilities, in which Ukrainian forces continue to inflict significant losses on the enemy across multiple domains, including the airspace. The scale and nature of the losses suffered by Russian aviation greatly reduce its ability to quickly recover and return to intensified combat operations on the frontlines. Ukraine, in turn, maintains active control and security using modern tactics and resources, including targeted and operational strikes on enemy airfields and strategic installations. Thus, the updated statistics reaffirm the high level of Ukraine’s defense system and its capacity to deliver serious strikes in response to the enemy, actively improving tactical situations, expanding control zones, and minimizing losses among its own forces. At the same time, it serves as a reminder that the fight for sovereignty and territorial integrity continues and yields significant results thanks to the coordinated work of Ukrainian intelligence and military units.
