The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, made a high-profile statement that once again emphasizes the scale of Russian military losses in the war against Ukraine
According to him, since the beginning of 2025 alone, Russian occupiers have suffered approximately 200,000 casualties — a combination of both killed and wounded — which reflects the significant cost the aggressor pays for its actions on Ukrainian land. These figures were announced by Syrskyi on his official Telegram channel, where he once again highlighted the high combat readiness and professionalism of Ukrainian troops. “Thank you to every Ukrainian soldier for your professionalism and unbreakable will. It is your courage and dedication that ensure our successes and protect our country,” he said. According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the occupying forces have incurred over 990,000 casualties. This number includes both those who have irrevocably fallen in the battle and those who have sustained serious injuries, rendering them incapacitated or removing them from the fighting. It should be noted that the level of Russian military losses in this conflict is increasing every month, with each new statistic confirming the high price the enemy pays for its aggression. These are not just numbers — they represent the lives and health of thousands of Russian soldiers, as well as numerous Ukrainian heroes who bravely hold the frontline under the most difficult conditions. The situation on the front remains tense, and Ukrainian troops continue to do everything possible to stabilize it and regain control over temporarily occupied territories. Currently, about 200,000 Russian soldiers have lost their lives or health in just a few months of fighting with the Ukrainian army, reflecting a high level of combat activity and strategic determination in the fight for the country’s independence and integrity. Total losses of the occupation army in the war against Ukraine have already reached nearly one million — a figure that daily reminds us of the price of this war and the significant contribution of Ukrainian heroes in its conduct. While the war continues, Ukrainian servicemen demonstrate incredible strength of spirit and unbreakable will, defending their land and the future of the state.
