In the south of Ukraine, in the Kherson region, the sounds of war have once again been heard: Russian drones carried out strikes on some settlements in the area
On June 3, in the city of Antonivka, located near the Russian-occupied Kherson, a small drone was once again the cause of civilian casualties. According to the regional military administration, this attack left two local residents in serious condition. According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, as a result of the missile and drone strike, two civilians — a woman born in 1949 and a man born in 1948 — were injured and taken to a medical facility. They sustained mine-explosive injuries, fragment wounds, and other bodily injuries. Information about their current condition has not been provided; however, it is clear that each of them has suffered serious injuries requiring immediate medical intervention. This incident is yet another confirmation that Russian occupation forces continue to deliberately attack the civilian population of Kherson region, notably using kamikaze drones to inflict maximum damage on infrastructure and residents' lives. Antonivka, which is located in close proximity to the heroic city of Kherson, has long been the target of constant attacks by Russian troops. They aim to intimidate the local communities and demonstrate their capacity to strike much of the region, despite the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ daily efforts to counter the invaders and protect civilians. Meanwhile, Ukrainian defenders continue to fight for the security and freedom of the country, resisting the enemy and destroying its equipment and forces. The injured residents of Antonivka were promptly transported to medical facilities where they are receiving necessary assistance. Local authorities urge citizens to stay calm and avoid panic, contributing to regional stability. At the same time, the military administration states that all necessary measures are already being taken to strengthen defenses and prevent new attacks. This incident serves as another reminder of the cost of war and the importance of uniting the Ukrainian people in the fight for freedom and independence. The enemy continues to cynically attack peaceful residents, but Ukrainians demonstrate resilience and steadfastness, fighting for every inch of their land.
