During Tuesday’s briefing, U.S. Government spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt concluded the information saga by emphasizing that the United States seeks a swift and just end to the war instigated by Russia. Commenting on the situation surrounding the operation, Leavitt noted that U.S. President Donald Trump's position on the war remains unchanged — he desires quick and peaceful solutions, while also maintaining a realistic view of current events. She stressed that Washington supports Ukraine’s efforts and advocates for a ceasefire as soon as possible to restore peace and save lives. "We want this senseless war, which has already lasted over a year and a half and brought so much suffering, to finally come to an end," Leavitt emphasized, adding that the U.S. actively facilitates a diplomatic resolution to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Regarding the specifics of "Spider Web," she emphasized that President Trump was not informed in advance about the special operations conducted by Ukrainian intelligence agencies. However, according to sources from "Ukrainska Pravda," the operation involved a swift and significant strike, resulting in the loss of around 40 Russian aircraft at airfields, including strategic bombers capable of shifting the balance of power on the battlefield. The operation lasted over a year and a half and was carefully planned by the Ukrainian Security Service. A source from Ukrainian security agencies told "UP" that during "Spider Web," Ukrainian special services initially used FPV drones, some of which were later transferred to Russia, and also created mobile wooden structures to hide these drones, thereby reducing the risk of interception and ensuring target accuracy. During discussions of the ethical and strategic aspects of these defensive activities, Norway’s Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide emphasized Ukraine’s absolute right to self-defense, stressing that the international community must support Ukraine in its efforts to protect its territory and independence. Similarly, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský highlighted that a strong and well-armed Ukraine is not only a necessity for the conflict-participating country but also a vital interest for Europe as a whole — because it strengthens regional security and stability. Overall, the actions of the Ukrainian operation "Spider Web" and the response of the global community reaffirm the trend toward increasing international support for Kyiv in its fight against aggression. Enhancing Ukraine’s defense capabilities and calls for diplomatic resolution remain central topics in political discussions. At the same time, statements and comments from high-ranking officials once again demonstrate Kyiv and its allies are determined to resolutely defend their interests, aiming to preserve sovereignty and restore peace on Ukrainian soil as quickly as possible.
