A massive drone attack by Russia angers Balakliia: one civilian died, another was seriously injured
During the night from June 2 to June 3, a large-scale drone strike carried out by Russian armed aggression targeted Balakliia in Iziumskyi district, Kharkiv region. This sudden attack caused a series of destructions and human losses, becoming one of the most serious events in the region in recent times. According to official sources, sadly, one civilian was killed, and another sustained severe injuries. The chief witness and informant of the events was Vitaliy Karabannov, the head of the Balakliia city military administration. In a personal statement, he reported that strikes were recorded in several areas of the city, including industrial zones and open spaces. "Several hits were recorded across the city. Some missile strikes hit a civilian enterprise and open land, resulting in significant damage and fires," he stated. Regarding the consequences of the attack, the military official emphasized that the damages were quite destructive. According to him, fires broke out in dry vegetation near the city, complicating the situation and hindering the efforts to eliminate the aftermath. "Unfortunately, we have one confirmed case of a fatality among staff of a local enterprise. Another man received serious injuries and was hospitalized very close to the incident site," Karabannov reported. He also mentioned that the drone attack serves as a further reminder of the constant dangers faced by Balakliia and its residents amid Russian aggression. Local services are already working to address the consequences, and residents are urged to stay calm and follow the recommendations of emergency services. The armed confrontation in the region continues, and the safety of local inhabitants remains uncertain, as the enemy persists in provocations and attacks. Currently, the authorities of Kharkiv region are conducting investigations and trying to assess the overall situation to prevent further tragedies.
