According to regional authorities, the situation remained tense and perilous, as several critical infrastructure facilities were damaged in the attack, and three local residents sustained injuries of varying severity. As reported by Serhiy Lysaк, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Military Administration, the night and morning of the past day passed entirely under the sign of continuous shelling by Russian forces. He stated that Nikopol was the epicenter of the attack, with artillery duels occurring three times, and likely attack drones, including kamikaze drones, being used again, confirming the scale of destruction and risks faced by local residents. The shelling affected not only Nikopol but also the neighboring Marhaneцьka community, which was also hit by chaotic fire. Preliminary reports indicate that three adult men aged 68, 51, and 72 were wounded as a result of enemy actions. All of them sustained serious injuries and were immediately transported to regional medical facilities for assistance. Their condition is currently assessed as moderate, but doctors are making every effort to stabilize the situation. Additionally, direct hits were recorded on several critically important infrastructure facilities in the region. For instance, a medical facility – likely providing aid to local residents – was damaged, along with fire station facilities and a local shop. Details of the destruction are being clarified, but it is already known that power lines were also damaged, further complicating the region’s energy supply situation. Official sources emphasize that the situation remains tense and warn residents of the possibility of further shelling. Authorities call on people to follow safety protocols, stay in shelters, and carefully monitor official updates. Despite significant losses and unexpected resistance from Ukrainian defenders, the Russian invaders are not rushing to de-escalate, continuing targeted attacks on critical infrastructure and populated areas, aiming to sow panic and fear among the civilian population. Thus, the situation in the Dnipropetrovsk region remains difficult and requires heightened attention and coordinated emergency response efforts from local services. Residents must stay alert, and the authorities are doing everything possible to minimize the consequences of the enemy’s brazen attacks and ensure the safety of citizens.
