Member of Parliament from the “Servant of the People” faction, Anna Kolisnik, has decided to resign from her parliamentary duties due to new circumstances and the nearing completion of her term in the Verkhovna Rada

This decision represents a logical conclusion to the complex situation that has developed around her over the past few months and has been unanimously supported by the Verkhovna Rada’s Regulations Committee. According to information received from the committee, it unanimously supported the MP’s statement, after which the issue of her possible further presence in the parliament was brought to the plenary session agenda. In the near future, this resolution may be considered at a plenary session, and then Kolisnik will officially cease her parliamentary powers. It is worth noting that this step is a logical and justified response to a series of criminal and political scandals that have initiated sharp criticism and unrest around her name. Primarily, this concerns notifications from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, which confirmed that Kolisnik received suspicion of providing false information in her electronic declaration amounting to over 4.4 million hryvnias. This caused serious concern among the public and political circles regarding her possible involvement in corrupt activities. Furthermore, media and social networks have published correspondence that has sparked a wave of criticism and been viewed as evidence of connections and pressure from representatives of this political district. Additionally, an episode from before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine became known, when confidential messages revealed her desire to "leave the country," further emphasizing her political and moral crisis. Since the start of the war and to this day, Kolisnik has not appeared at the Verkhovna Rada. According to data from the Central Election Commission, she has not participated in meetings since March 12, 2025, and, based on forecasts, after the parliament’s vote on her resignation, she will officially lose her mandate. In case of a positive decision by the deputies, her seat in parliament may be taken by one of the candidates from the parliamentary list of the "Servant of the People" faction. However, it should be noted that the primary candidates to replace her are Dmytro Slyntko and Roman Kravets. The latter gained popularity through his activity on the Telegram channel "Joker" and is widely known as the administrator of this platform. According to the Central Election Commission data, the situation is further complicated by the fact that some candidates, namely Yulia Poliychuk and Volodymyr Tryhub, who had promised to be in the reserve list or contenders for this seat, have officially refused to take up the deputy mandate in the Verkhovna Rada. Thus, the political crisis scenario surrounding Anna Kolisnik has a logical conclusion that could lead to significant changes in the composition of the Verkhovna Rada. It is expected that the parliament will soon make a final decision regarding her future, and the political situation around the MP will finally become clear. This will serve as another reminder of the challenges faced by Ukraine’s political class in the fight against corruption and in ensuring transparency of parliamentary activities amid the country’s complex internal and external challenges.
