A tragic incident has been reported once again in Kherson region, related to military attacks by Russian occupiers, who continue deliberately destroying the peaceful life of local residents

This time, the victim was a family from the village of Komishani, where the Russians dropped explosives from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), causing serious injuries to two innocent children. According to information released by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, on Telegram, the tragedy occurred around 17:10 local time. The enemy used a drone to drop explosives directly onto a car in which two boys, aged 11 and 16, were seated. As a result of the attack, the children sustained serious injuries: the younger boy has mine-explosive trauma and a traumatic brain injury, along with a chest injury; the older boy suffered wounds to his leg and arm. Both victims were promptly transported to the nearest hospital, where medical professionals are providing all necessary assistance and working to stabilize their condition. This is not the first case of Russian military deliberately using aviation means to intimidate and destroy civilians. Yesterday, June 1, Kherson was also hit by a series of artillery and drone strikes — resulting in the deaths of an elderly woman and a man, with four other people receiving injuries of varying severity. This wave of missile and ballistic attacks confirms that the enemy is intentionally trying to sow fear and destruction in the region, stopping at nothing, even the death of peaceful civilians. Local authorities are critically assessing the activity of Russian forces and are calling on the international community to increase pressure on the aggressor country to stop its criminal actions. At the same time, Ukrainian military and security services continue their work to protect the population, but each new incident once again highlights the need to strengthen defense capabilities and ensure rapid response to security challenges. This tragic news is not only a call to alarm for the region's residents but also a reminder to the whole world of the cost of war and the cynicism of Russia’s occupation policies. Let’s stay strong and continue fighting for peace and security for every Ukrainian family.
