During the period when the Russian military continues massive shelling of Ukrainian cities and infrastructure, Ukrainian intelligence agencies are executing a powerful counteroffensive operation behind enemy lines. According to high-ranking officials and sources within the Security Service of Ukraine, on June 1, there was a widespread wave of fires and destruction at Russian airfields, deliberately targeted by drone strikes. Sources told Ukrainian news agency that, upon interception and analysis of video footage, it is evident how severely the enemy’s strategic aviation has been impacted. One of the released videos features the voice of SBU Head Lieutenant General Vasyl Maliuk, who comments on the strikes: "This is what the 'Belaya' airfield looks like now — enemy strategic aviation." This underscores the high level of efficiency of Ukraine’s security forces in combating Russian aviation infrastructure. A spokesperson from the SBU explained that the large-scale operation, codenamed "Spider Web," has been ongoing for several weeks and aims to destroy the enemy’s bomber aircraft deep in Russian territory. According to him, Ukrainian kamikaze drones specifically targeted airfields from which Russia launches missile and aircraft strikes on Ukrainian cities every evening. As a result of this operation, Russian military aviation suffered significant losses: more than 40 strategic bombers were destroyed, and the economic damage caused by damaged Russian military equipment already exceeds $2 billion. To confirm this information, videos and photographs showing fires and destruction at Russian airfields have been published. Experts point out that this operation has become one of the most successful Ukrainian counteroffensives in the ongoing liberation war, significantly undermining Russia’s ability to carry out large-scale strikes against Ukrainian territory. Sources within the military circles report that Russian airfields are currently under high alert, and further strikes within the "Spider Web" operation are expected. Ukraine continues to operate at a scale previously thought impossible, demonstrating a high capacity for attack and destruction of additional complex enemy systems. This creates a significant imbalance in Russian military logistics and undermines their pressure on the front lines. Overall, this extensive special operation has become a crucial factor in the current situation, showcasing the effectiveness of Ukrainian security forces’ work in the fight against Russian aggression. Its results are not only enabled by modern drone technology but also by strategic planning and high professionalism of Ukrainian intelligence agencies, which skillfully use all available means to defend the country and resist the enemy.
