As of May 30, the situation in Sumy and Donetsk regions remains extremely tense and tragic. According to local administrations and emergency services, the number of victims and injured persons has significantly increased, again confirming the scale of destruction and human losses caused by the armed aggression of Russian forces. According to official information from the Sumy Regional Military Administration, over the past day, one civilian has died in the region. This occurred in Bilopillia community, where a woman born in 1941 was injured by a drone strike and was hospitalized. Unfortunately, she passed away on May 30 in the hospital. On the same day, in Khotyn community, two civilians — a man born in 1966 and a woman born in 1964 — were wounded; they are currently receiving necessary medical assistance. In Nedryhailiv community, a man born in 1980 was injured, and his condition remains under medical control. Overall, from the morning of May 30 to the morning of May 31, Russian occupiers carried out over 160 shellings of 39 settlements across 16 different communities in the region. This epicenter of destruction and human tragedy once again demonstrates the scale of so-called hybrid warfare, which destroys the lives of peaceful residents and damages infrastructure. Meanwhile, in neighboring Donetsk, the situation remains even more tense. According to the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, on Friday, May 30, military actions claimed the lives of five residents of the region. Three people died in the city of Pokrovsk, and two more in Bilozerka district. Additionally, during this same period, nine people were wounded as a result of enemy shelling. These figures once again highlight the scale of human suffering caused by Russian aggression and demonstrate the level of instability in the region, which remains under constant threat of hostilities. Local communities and volunteers continue working tirelessly to provide assistance to those affected, but the scale of destruction and human loss underscores the need to strengthen protection and support for the civilian population in these regions. Overall, the situation remains difficult and tense, and human tragedies serve as a tragic and daily confirmation that the war continues to destroy the lives of thousands of Ukrainians.
