This is a difficult but necessary measure aimed at preventing human casualties and protecting the health of the region's inhabitants. An official source—the Sumy Regional Military Administration—reports that the evacuation process is already actively underway and involves 11 settlements across various communities. According to representatives of the Regional Military Administration, the settlements targeted for evacuation are located in the most affected areas. Specifically, these include Horobivka, which is part of the Ritschkivska rural community, as well as Shtanivka, Voronivka, and Yanchenkiv within the Bilopillia urban community. Additionally, Cimbalivka and Shkurativka are under supervision in the Vorozhbaia urban community, while Krovne, Mykolaivka, Rudnivka, Spaske, and Kapitanivka—all belonging to the Mykolaivka rural community—are also included. Authorities assure that all necessary resources and assistance will be provided to residents at risk due to hostilities. It is planned to supply transportation for evacuation, humanitarian aid, temporary accommodation, and social payments for those forced to leave their homes due to circumstances. It is known that more than 213 settlements across the Sumy region have already taken such a necessary step, highlighting the scale of the humanitarian crisis once again. The official statement from the Regional Military Administration urges residents not to delay and not to remain in areas under constant threat. "Remaining in the danger zone is a direct threat to your life and health," emphasized a regional representative, adding that evacuation is an urgent and final measure to save lives. Authorities remind that a large-scale war continues, and the enemy does not ease its pressure: border areas of the region and strategic objects remain targeted, making the improvement of evacuation measures vitally important. Due to these circumstances and other reasons, over 210,000 residents of our region have already been forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in safer places. The issue of evacuation is becoming one of the main factors in ensuring the safety of the civilian population during this difficult time for the Sumy region. Regional authorities are convinced that through joint efforts and a responsible approach, even more human tragedies can be avoided, and the efforts of everyone can save the lives of those at risk. Evacuation is a difficult but the only possible way to counter the destructive consequences and the anxiety caused by active hostilities and shelling.
