This was reported by the center’s head, Andriy Kovalenko, who noted that there are clear signals indicating the activation of Russian military plans in this direction. According to Kovalenko, there are distinct signs that the Kremlin may redeploy extensive missile and bomb attacks utilizing strategic aircraft. These would serve as a continuation of the tactics used since the Minsk agreements, when Russian aviation forces were actively involved in striking Ukrainian territories. The expert stated that this strategy is quite familiar to Moscow and is likely to be used again to demonstrate strength and exert pressure on Ukrainian authorities. Kovalenko added that this preparation can be viewed as a "traditional method for Moscow," which Russian military forces have employed since 2014, beginning with the initial escalations of the conflict. This trend indicates Russia’s desire to showcase its military power and to remind the world once again of its regional ambitions. Commenting on recent statements by U.S. President Donald Trump, who expressed surprise and disappointment that Russian strikes on Ukraine have not allowed for a swift conclusion of the long-desired "peace treaty," Kovalenko emphasized that Ukraine must be prepared for any scenario. He pointed out that unexpected attacks or new large-scale strikes could occur at any moment, and therefore Ukraine should strengthen its defenses as much as possible and stay alert. In the expert’s opinion, this situation requires heightened vigilance and strategic planning from Ukrainian authorities. Given Russia’s historical use of various tactics during warfare—including provocations, massive shelling, and strategic aviation—Ukrainian defenders must prevent surprises and enhance the integration of their defense systems. Kovalenko concluded his statement with a call for Ukrainians and the country’s leadership to take all information seriously and responsibly. He believes it is crucial to turn disillusionment over past diplomatic failures into a powerful signal and a "sharp slap" to Moscow, showing that Ukraine will not surrender and will defend its independence and territorial integrity. In turn, this should serve as an additional deterrent to the aggressor and motivate efforts to improve the country’s defense capabilities during this challenging period.
